Varun Rajput is a music composer, guitar player and singer based out of New Delhi, India. Best known for his work as the founder, guitarist and leader of Indian rock band, Antariksh, Varun is renowned for his eclectic guitar playing, composition skills, and bringing a modern, edgy sound to Hindi Rock music in India with Antariksh’s first album, ‘Khoj’.

With over 10 years of experience as a music professional, 500 concerts under his belt and other than leading Antariksh from the front, Varun has played as a session guitar player and toured with the biggest Indian Rock band, ‘Parikrama’, singing queen, ‘Harshdeep Kaur’, Carnatic guitar virtuoso, ‘Baiju Dharmajan’, popular commercial rock bands, The AJ Project, Nasya and many more.  

As a music producer, Varun Rajput has composed, played, sung and recorded 3 full-length albums, produced ad jingles for over 20 international brands such as Chevrolet, Reckitt Benckiser, Idea, Wingify etc. He’s also co-produced 2 songs for the Bollywood movie, ‘The Bet’ released in 2010.

Prior to taking up music professionally, Varun studied engineering in IT from DCE (Now DTU), co-founded a Tech (mobile games) startup and worked for a couple of management consulting firms for 3 years. Other than being an engineer-turned consultant-turned musician, he is also a state-level Hockey player, and loves to travel, play various sports and meditate.

Varun derives inspiration from artistes such as Daniel Gildenlow, Dream Theater, A R Rahman, Pink Floyd, Toto, Porcupine Tree, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Amit Trivedi, Vishal-Shekhar.
